I've done quite a bit of travelling in Thailand and it really is the land of smiles...people actually look you in the eye and say hello unlike walking down a street in America. Looks like you took some long train and bus trips which is really a great way to see the countryside although I prefer the comfortable tourist style buses to the trains personally.
